2012 JKR
Been into off road since 1975. We have had a jeep in our lives since then. Our latest jeep here is mainly for off road. Though it does get to go to the store and back. This is its last year to "drive" it there too as we are putting it on a trailer. We are in two Jeeps clubs here and spend our vacation time going destination trails in California and Utah and other states out west. Now that she will be a trailer queen we plan to take it to next level over the next few years.

Story: Since I could drive, I've been in love with off-roading. Always taking my 2WD trucks into places they really didn't belong. In November of 2008, I was finally able to afford a Jeep and decided to buy one. I didn't know the difference between a Sport, Sahara, or the Rubicon. I thought they were just different trim levels (power door locks, leather seats, etc.) But this one had met my requirements: Yellow, 2-door, automatic (so the wife could drive it). The fact that it was a Rubicon was lost on me. It wasn't until I joined JeepForum and started reading did I understand what I had bought. LOL!

I do a lot of towing, and was frustrated with the lack of power with the 3.8L so I installed a RIPP supercharger as my first mod. Later I joined a local 4x4 club, and the mods really began. The first time I saw the club members doing rock crawling, I thought they were nuts! Then I tried it myself. I was hooked! Considering the hilly area in the southeast, I decided to go with a LCOG rig, large tires/minimal lift. The JeepForum community has been the greatest help in figuring out what works and does not work.

The wife and I enjoy our monthly club rides, Jeep Beach, and whatever Jeep events we can find. She enjoys just riding along, but recently has begun to do some of the off-roading herself. Now she wants an Unlimited for herself. Note: The JK is NOT my daily driver (55 miles each way to work), it's my "weekend testosterone toy".

Great line up!
LVCapo I thought you had won this thing like twice already this year!

#6 ·
Lol, no...I entered twice this year for the first time ever....and was shamed into retirement....got smoked by a new lady with a basic Rubicon Express lift the first time, and a guy with a budget boost the second time
To add insult to injury, my wife likes to tell me I don't even have the best looking Jeep in our family....

That third picture is way up in the Tobacco Root Mountains in Montana.....found a great trail that led to some of the most beautiful cutthroat trout I've ever seen.

This thread is gonna go sooooo downhill if Capo posts pics of Jennifer Lawrence posing in his Jeep!

C'mon, Capo, DO IT, DO IT, DO IT, DO IT!!!
