2014 eng oil pressure

So I have a '14 JKU Rubi today I notived the engine had a different noise, just not the typical engine sound. So while driving at 35 mph I checked my gauges and found all were normal except the oil pressure was was at 80psi! That was low rpm's, so impressed the skinny pedal and to my disbelief oil pressure went up to 98 psi! Has anyone else run into this before?

Makes me wanna check my gauges more often. No I've never had this, but it may just be a bad sender. Start cheap then go from there. Is it throwing a code yet?

I had to have a sender replaced... but I got a check engine light. No change in engine performance.

Are you surprised that you have oil pressure that goes up with engine speed? Do you think that sounds low or high? Looks normal to me.

Mine goes up to 99 all the time when cold. I have a 3 digit gauge but I'm thinking it stops at 99 for oil pressure. The lowest I've seen mine was 22.
