The 2012 and the 2013 Wranglers both use the 433 MHz TPM sensor.

Pressure too low?

I thought the new(2013) TPMS gave actual PSI in each tire.
Are you sure they're compatible with the 2012 system that just warns when the pressure falls below a certain PSI?

To me, that doesn't sound compatible.

It depends on the the Jeep they were taken off of. If the Jeep had connectivity group then the new wheels do in fact have different sensors and will not work on the 12.
Premium TPMS is part of the connectivity group and does have a different frequency. And no you can't turn on the premium TPMS on a 12, it wasn't an option.

You should be able to buy new sensors that will work just fine. I know places like discount tire carry the correct sensors.

Try filling the tires to 10-15 psi above the lower limit that your TPMS is set for and see if that clears it. Then back the pressure off to where you want to run it.

the tpms malfunction light is on study I turned the system off right now with my procal. would it be worth playing with the pressure or will I just need to get new sensors. sucks cause I just sold my stocker today then the light came on a few hours later
