2013 JKU Rims with Oversized Tires

I'm already looking to lift my JKU Sahara and would like to keep the stock rims but upgrade tire size. Not sure of the name of them but they have 5 holes in it and the small jeep emblem on the outer rim.

Big question is fitting 35" tires on the stock rims and if has been done before because I have yet to see only on this forum put mud terrains on the sahara stock rims. Just very curious as to what this would look like on a JKU. I've seen the 2012 stock rims with oversized tires but have yet seen the 2013.

These are the rims I'm talking about.

Anyone come across this?

What size are the wheels? I thought Sarah’s came with 18’s. If they are 18” then I wouldn’t suggest doing that.

It can be done, however, no problems. You will need 1.5” wheel spacers and DO NOT cheap out on the spacers (ie Rough Country).

The reason I don’t recommend putting 33’s or 35’s on 18’s are because tires for that size rim are a lot more expensive than for 15-17”. You could probably get a set of wheels AND tires in 16”/35”

Good point, they are 18s....would make more sense to get 16" or 17" rims if I upgrade to 35s. Didn't really think that one through.

Yeah 18's are not ideal for oversized tires but I do like the style of your wheels. I'd just sell them and go AEV.

I Dont think you can go bigger than 275/70/r18. If they are the same size as my older 18inch version. At least that's what discount tire told me

To help you visualize it here is a pic of my 17" AEV's with 37s.

Have been debating on black or silver AEV rims....like the black on black though!

Looks good. What is the width on the tires and lift?

Sweet. I'm definitely putting on 37s and a 3.5 lift. I can't make out the tire brand though. I'm getting a '14 jkurx. Got any opinion on 3.5 Metal Cloak lift and 37s nitto mud grappler?

Tires are BFG KM2s.

Thanks for the reply but just noticed something. Are those stock fenders?

As far as I know they are, but I did buy it with 7,500 miles on it and the previous owner had put Gibson dual exhaust on. Might have replaced fenders too.
