2013 2 door Sport towing question

2013 2 door sport towing capacity is 2000 lbs.
I have a wrap around warranty and I want to be knowledgeable when upgrading the towing capability to pull a 3000 lb.? tritoon/pontoon (probably more in the 2500 lb range?
Does Mopar offer this much of an increase with their tow package?
What does it cost w/labor?
I want to buy it from the dealer and have them install so if there are any problems its warrantied?

Thank you

2,000 lbs. is the most you're going to get with the 2dr.

Trouble is the wheel base is some what short. At speed they tend to fish tail. Though todays Jeeps are worlds better at it than say a Cj5. I can tow things that my Cj was a real death experience to even try. But getting in a fish tail in a Jeep is something that can kill people, not like the ol'death wobble that is way over rated' I am sure some of my gray hair was from living through that a few times.

Jeeps were really never good at towing. The 4d is ok. Jeeps(as in cj-Jk) don't make a good car as well, but people buy them for it anyway.

Off road though on tight trails the 2d shines as it should be, its a Jeep.

I've towed 2500lbs with my 2 door. Did okay. Wouldn't make an effort to do it again.

Yes, ever.
They are not meant as tow vehicles.

Jeep - It's a Jeep thing...you wouldn't understand.
Triumph - Go your own way.

I see why I'm a loner....and I love it!

Quoting this for emphasis. The problem isn't power, it's stability and safety.

I have towed 2800 lb trailer only 35 miles and it had an equalizer hitch. But that is over my limit and I would not do it again, but it did handle just fine, thank God, no wind.
