for the 921-B12 bulbs you got, does the light project forward to the front of the cab? it says its a 75 degree beam angle. i spoke with someone from superbrightleds and he recommended i go with the a bulb that was a 360 degree beam angle, but i really dont see the point in that. i have yet to take the dome light so i dont know which way it points..

I will replace the stock bulbs later today to see what happens. I may have to take this to the dealer. Something very strange here... ???
I know this seems like a silly question. you know there are two switches for the dome lites one on the dome light itself and another on the turn signal colum have you tried the switch on the colum?

installed the LED's from NorthRidge 4x4 today. a definite increase in usable light output. not blue, cool white as they call it. weird thing is, open any door or unlock and all is normal. but if i tap the light just to turn on a single dome light it blinks like a strobe light. i called NorthRidge they said others have experienced this and it just goes away in a week or so. pretty strange..

This was my LED Dome Light upgrade solution. I ran an LED strip through a Daystar rocker switch wired directly to the battery (through an inline fuse, of course). You can read my whole write-up here.

My issue was when I had the three LEDs installed (2 in middle dome, 1 in rear dome on a 4 door), the map light under the rear view mirror stayed on all the time (yes, i know about the buttons on it, plus the ability to turn all the lights on and off).

When driving, the map light would flicker very lightly, or just stay on dimly lit. When turning off the car, removing the key and locking the car... the map lights would stay lit in a dim mode. After several minutes they would turn off.

I found that when i removed the middle dome lights all together, the map lights would go on. STRANGE. When i installed one of the LEDs and one of hte original map lights, all worked normal. With two stock dome lights, all work normal.

I am currently running with one stock white and one LED blue light in the middle dome light. It works fine this way. Not sure what else to do... ?

When others speak of taking a few days to settle in... is it related to what i describe? I dont understand how, but...?

Yep.. I installed these three lights...

1 4410-x9: 578 LED Bulb - 9 LED Festoon 4410-B9: Blue $4.74
2 921-x12: 921 LED Bulb - 12 Wide Angle LED Mini Wedge Base 921-B12: Blue $4.95

Running these three and stock map lights, the maps lights stay on.

Running the festoon, 1 LED and 1 Stock... it works fine.

OK, I ordered some of these but the cargo Festoon bulb won't light.

SuperBrights shows 3 possible cargo area bulbs ...

1 says specifically it is a CAN bus bulb,
  • Part Number: 4410-W1-CB

the other 2 do not.
  • Part Number: 4410-x9
  • Part Number: UPCB-xWHP30-FES

Naturally I went with the one you mentioned: 4410-x9, but it doesn't light when installed.

Slightly confused.

This is what I ordered for the rear and that works. I have no problem with the map lights.

Here's the pair I ordered for the front. (note: these are the red version)
