I just replaced my dome light bulbs with LEDs from superbrightleds.com.
I have a 2012 2-Door Wrangler. I chose the following bulbs:

WLED-x9-CBT:194 CAN Bus LED Bulb - 9 SMD LED Wedge Base Tower - WLED-WW9-CBT:Warm White

I wasn't sure if the 12 LED configuration would fit in the dome light so I got the 9 LED bulbs.
They put off a bit more light than the stock wedge bulbs and the color of the light is better, IMO.

I'm also not sure if I needed to get the CANBUS bulbs. They are a bit more expensive but they work great. The bulbs still dim to black when you put the key in the ignition.

I guess I will need to replace a few more bulbs now. Anyone done the license plate bulb or the backup lights?

i think the reverse bulbs are #3157 (am i correct?) and i have a four 3157 LEDs from my former Jeep laying around, gonna try to install em this weekend if no snow. i think these can be used in blinkers too, but i dont care much about them, just would like more light for reverse..

northridge 4x4 dome LEDs should arrive next week, amped to get em installed..

Yep, reverse lights are 3157.

Biggest problem is getting the correct LED configuration so they fit AND give off the light you are looking for.

If your reverse lights work out well, please post which ones you got.

replaced the bulbs with ebay china bright white LEDs. see the iphone pics below. my 2 cents..its like running silverstar head lights over stock. some might call it brighter, some might call it not brighter, just different. certainly a more modern look though. and for $2 per LED, i'll take it. it will look better when i match the dome/cargo lights with similar LEDs and silverstars eventually too. t.

Just ordered these for my 2013. Thanks for the detailed post with part #s.

I am going to leave the under mirror lights white so when I turn those on I still get white light.

I got mine in blue, they seem ok. I may have to go with the White ones down the road, as i have a ragtop with no light in the back. Cool Lights though.

Help! After upgrade mirror lights stay on!

I upgraded my dome lights to a sweet blue shown in the other posts... Now the mirror lights stay on ALL THE TIME. What gives? Any thoughts here?

See the quote above, third post in this thread. I got the festoon canbus version for my 13 and have no problem.

Did you use the 44 mm canbus festoon for both front and rear dome lights?

The photo showing the back is great for comparing, so much whiter on the left.

ok... this is getting even weirder... I removed the LED bulbs entirely and the map lights under the mirror still stay on. They are on when driving and when stopped and cannot be turned off via switch. When parked they seem to eventually time out and shut off. I will replace the stock bulbs later today to see what happens. I may have to take this to the dealer. Something very strange here... ???
