2012 JK dome light upgrade

searched a bit on this, didnt find much. so we all know the interior lighting is not great. has anyone put LED bulbs in their dome lights? apparently it is the 912 wedge bulb. i have checked ebay, amazon, a few LED lighting sites, found a few things. but still a little confused as to what is ideal. i would just like some input from those who have upgraded. looking for bright but not oboxious usable light..

On my 13, I ordered the led dome lights from Northridge4x4. These lights caused the map lights on the mirror to stay on. Found you need a canbus festoon 44mm led for the rear (purchased from Precission LED), which fixed the map light issue.

just do a search for LED Dome Light on eBay. I found a set by a vendor by the name of "Fyre Flies" -- I think I paid like $15 for a set of 3. They also come with something like 4 different connectors for each light to ensure that you ahve the correct one for your front and rear dome lights. HUGE improvement over stock.

This is the only crappy cell phone pic I have. Doesn't really donut justice because these suckers are bright!

I changed all mine inside lights to blue LED on my 2012 JK, I got them from http://www.superbrightleds.com They had lots of colors and choices and they work great and really are super bright so its not just a clever name for them. Very affordable as well $15 with shipping for all the LEDs. Here is a picture of the inside to show you

Yep they have a BULB FINDER link on the home page, just put in exactly what you have and what year and they will list every replacement LED for your Jeep and where it would go with color options.

thanks all. i could not decide whther to order from northridge or superbrightleds yesterday. what it came down to is northridge bulbs are matching, and superbrightleds were not. i have to hand it to superbrightleds though, they have one huge selection. plus i will run white light, no colors needed. i wanted the same exact look from both rear and front dome/cargo lights. so i went with northridge. i will post pics when i get em installed. ps - also ordered an 'in between the roll bars storage bag'. looks good..

as far as ebay goes, i didnt want to wait 3 weeks for led's from china. and the domestic seller options were not that great, and confusing as well.
