2012 JK Center Console Squeak

Hey all,

about a month after buying the jeep, it began sqeaking/rattling when i rested my arm on the center console. I shouldnt care but the noise is EXTREMELY annoying. I found out that it's the upper insert butting up against the top armrest area. Any fixes to make this godforsaken noise go away?

Not familiar with the inside of the 2012's, but based on what you are telling me, try putting some thin weatherstripping or tape on the rubbing part and see if that fixes it.

I have noticed mine squeaks as well but not to the extent that you are describing. Most days my windows are down and between the sound of my tires and my radio I don't usually hear anything else, including the kids in the back

I'll listen for it later today and report back if I come up with a solution.

thank you for your help guys. I went on the tuffy website and was able to resolve almost all of it by removing the top insert. much appreciated!
