2011 Wrangler to get Pentastar Engine

40% increase in horsepower with better fuel economy. Sounds like a hit to me.

And your Southwest Washington Jeep Dealers will be backfitting into older models for free? I read between the lines, that is what you promised right?

I don't think I'll be upgrading for a while anyhow. Maybe I'll go start a thread about how the Penstar JK's aren't real Jeeps.

Will it be offered in rescue green for the sahara?

If not, I'll sadly have to pass.

Probably the fact that he runs a Jeep dealership.

Besides the changes in the motor, what else do you know about the 2011's?

I wonder what this will do to the price. There's going to be a bunch of 07-10 JK's hitting the used car lots soon.

Any word if the auto tranny is getting an upgrade?

Might just wait a year or two and try another 4 door if this engine proves itself.

Based on past experience, the MSRP will probably jump a bit, but the bigger issue will be the availability. They'll be light for a good 9 months to a year at least so the dealerships won't be discounting for a long time. The gap between what you can get a 2010 and a 2011 for will be significant for quite some time. That's just my opinion.

My dealership has told me they will sell me any vehicle at invoice, minus any incentives, anytime. If someone has a dealership that is trying to make a killing because of the new JK being in "limited supply", ... go elsewhere.
