Purchased mine about 2 weeks ago...I need to ask thou, are they a little hard on the peddle? I mean my wifes FJ you step on the gas and that thing starts moving....and with the jeep, its not as easy. Is this just the way they are?

yes, they are. the pedal response is known to be very slow. you can fix it sometime with a Superchips.

It's the DBW (Drive By Wire) gas pedal (peddle, petal, pettle?) set-up. No cable anymore, it's electronic, resulting in the lag. You get used to it after a while and your foot adjusts to it. There are after-market accessories that claim to fix it, one's called Sprint Booster. I haven't tried them yet and they do cost some money. It's the modern way, welcome to SpaceShip Jeep JK.

Yah, the gas pedal, feels more like pressing on a flower petal; it may be an accommodation to the soccer moms.

in addition- the computer "learns" your driving style. If you drive it like a grandma, it will accelerate like a grandma. So if the previous owner drove it like that, you need to get the computer to relearn.

Remove both battery cables and leave disconnected for 20-30 minutes. Now it will take about 500 miles before it actually figures out your driving style. During that 500 miles, you should accelerate hard and fast as often as you can.
