2008 Jeep will not start

I have a 2008 Wrangler-will not start, starter will not engage.
1)Symptoms-some time ago-(two months)- changed battery in key FOB-had trouble starting for a few minutes then started but remote key locks didnt work again. 2)When doors are locked and the key is used to unlock, the alarm sounds. Today tried cranking
1)Cranked and ran 1-2 seconds. This happened two or three times, Similar to symptoms i had when key FOB battery was changed. Let set for 5 minutes and inserted key upside down, when trying to crank-everything works, but starter never engages.1)Bought diagonstic reader-no fault codes
2)Checked relays-Run, Run Start, Run Accessory come on. Starter relay never turns on. Relay ohmed out fine, never getting power to it. Tried starting in neutral, nothing. pushed hard on shifter in park, nothing. Jumped contacts on strt relay and starter engages and tries to crank. Ran Jumper cables from negative to battery, have not grounded to bell hsn yet. will do tomorrow. Any other ideas?

How old is the main battery ?

12vdc connectors corroded/tight/clean ?

On IGN, the ECM isn't getting the right voltage for continued ops--

Battery charger/shut EVERYTUING off, try again !

Good luck

Sounds a bit like the sentry key isn't matched. The sentry transponder coding is different than the fob battery functions.

Do you have a second key to try?

Disconnect battery, let stand 10 minutes then try again.
