$2000 budget. What upgrades would you do?

So I have a budget set for this year to do some stuff to the Jeep. I kind of already overshot the budget by adding the Thule rack to the top, but suppose you had $2000 to spend on upgrades for the year, what would you do to a stock 08 X (Mines pretty stock at this point)?

well it does depend on what you plan to do with the Jeep but if it was me...

Locking gas cap if you dont have one - $15 from many places
Aussie locker for the front - $230
Pick up some used Rubicon wheels and tires - $800 to 1,200 depending
Get used Rubicon Rock Rails - prices around here seem to go from $150-400, check your dealer
Spend the rest on things like recovery gear, first aid kit, maybe a CB radio

AEV front bumper and skid plate ($1600). Save the remaining $400 until you can spend $500 or so on the Mopar Rear bumper.

A pair of Mopar bumpers, a winch, and tires. I paid $415 for my rear bumper and either $425 or $455 for my front bumper, so that proves a decent bumper doesn't have to break the bank. Whatever money is left over you can use for shackles, tow strap, and similar recovery gear.

And don't forget to put a padlock on your catalytic converter. Those are being stolen for the "Platinum" they have inside of them.

x2. If you are going to offroad a bunch, then those kind of mods. If not, chrome it up!

Heck most folks eat that in wheels and tires and I am on my 2nd set since I removed the stocks.

Do what makes you happy, if you wheel it, be sure to protect it with armor.

Have Fun out There, even if you have to pay 6 bucks a gallon!

Yeah, I don't do much wheeling... I'd love to, but I have enough other expensive hobbies and a house to keep up... So I put some chrome rims on her that I paid 1/3 the price for...
