2 door 2012 Rubicon needs a hitch

Is a class III hitch overkill? I want to tow a 5 x 10 open trailer max and most times a basket. I've searched here but can't find a great answer.

The max tow rating on a 2-door Wrangler is 2000 pounds.

Hitch like this is available from Quadratec.com

Quadratech has a Class 3 hitch and factory wiring harness that is fantastic for less than $100. It was a very complete setup, and I use it more for pulling people and a recovery point than I do for towing.

Class 3 is 5,000 lbs. Class 2 is 3,500. Your JK is rated for 2,000. So yeah, it's overkill.

I ordered Quadratec Part No: 12015.1009 last Friday morning; it is a Quadratec Premium 2" Receiver Hitch with Wiring Kit & Jeep® Logo Plug. I used the following link http://www.quadratec.com/promo_code.php and code ScramblerRomeo and received it the next day before noon with no shipping charges. I haven't installed it yet since it has been raining all week. Everything looks good as far as quality goes and at a decent price. Thanks for all your input.
