Still trying to figure out my low speed vibration/shudder. I have read several posts on this issue and the TSB. I have no codes. I have also had this problem come and go. Is there any way to isolate the problem? I have installed a leveling kit and replaced rear drive shaft. Balanced tires 2 times. Also, new drag link. Vibration comes in at 20 mph and shudder is intermitant at 35 to 40 mph.

I assume you mean the front end - rear drive shaft would not affect front end and is not really needed with just a leveling kit.
1. something is loose under the front end - check all connections - check for worn parts (ball joints?)
2. something is out of alignment - caster?
3. a good shop would help diagnose problem - let them drive it and see for themselves (not dealer)
keep us posted.

I took it in and they suspect torque converter. Does this make sense and is there any way for me to diagnose that. Mean while I will inspect all front end parts.

Not familiar with that one - I have a stick, no converter.

If 'they' suspect the torque converter, drive it yourself, get it to 'shudder' (where its at its absolute worst) then do two things-turn the o/d (overdrive) off...does the shudder change or disappear? And/or, quickly shift to neutral...does it still shudder while coasting or does it disappear? And if so, does it come back and/or change when shifting back to drive?
If it is a driveline issue, then, in theroy, the shudder should go away when no power is applied to the drivetrain. If the shudder remains when coasting (not under power) at the affected speeds, its time to focus on whats rolling- tires/wheels, axles (shafts, bearings, brakes too!), driveshafts, etc.

Checked ball joints, driver side loose, passenger side tight. Would that cause my vib/shudder?

Thanks for the help. Do I need special tools to replace them?

Yeah ball joints sometimes require a press and torch to install/remove them or special tools to get them in or out and alot of time. Generally not an easy job, the parts are not that expensive but they are labor intensive.

Replaced torque converter. Shudder gone. Still have low speed vib. starts at 15 mph. I can feel it through the steering wheel and gas pedal. driver side ball joints are a little loose. would the ball joints cause a vib at those speeds?

Would the rear drive shaft cause vibrations starting at 15 MPH?

I'm having a similar problem with my 08 Rubicon. Interested to see how you fix it. Gonna try to get it into the shop in the next few weeks and see what they say as it's still under waranty.
