07 sahra help

I just purchased an 07 Sahara unlimited Friday for my wife. So Sunday I noticed a puddle ad gear oil from the front axle and go back to the dealer mon morning. We came to agree that we would half the cost. This morning she calls me and says it will not start .

I read all about the notorious jeep flu and I have tried all suggested ( placing in neutral , rocking back and forth and so on ) and still nothing. All it will do is click. Anyone have any more suggestions?

Didnt you get some kind of warranty with the jeep purchase? I would defiantly take it back and have them look at these issues. IMO you shouldnt be out a dime if you just bought it.

Notorious Jeep Flu? First I've heard of that. Must not be to notorious
When you say it will not start, will it turn over?
I wouldn't pay a dine to get the leak fixxed. It didn't start leaking the day you drove it home.

Click? Check your battery, might be low voltage

where are you located? many states have buyer protection from dealer sales.

Hereís an old thread (Click, no start) but it just goes to show how the battery is usually the problem even if the voltage shows that itís good. It had me stumped for a while but I learned more about batteries even though I thought I knew it all.

Click no start is almost always the battery or corroded battery terminals.

I appreciate everyone's help. It was the battery. It only had 9 volts. Don't really understand because I drove it all the day before and it seemed fine, not slow or anything. Replaced it and its ok. Me and the dealer also agreed that we would half the cost of the axle seals. I feel that they should have taken care of everything but it is what it is. Just be careful of used lots even the big ones. I was not dealing with a small mom and pop dealer so I thought I would be ok, huh go figure. Enough complaining I do like it and I think it's better than my tj. We plan on taking it out to lbl turkey bay this weekend.

well, glad ur at least happy with it. odd about the battery but in my experience the batteries don't die a slow death. i've had batteries that were dead and fine the day before.
