I've only had mine for a couple of months and have come to accept that not as many Jeepers wave at a late model stock Jeep even if it is a screaming loud orange. My best wave so far actually came from a class a coach/rv. I had just pulled onto the main drag of a small town where the speed limit was 30 mph. I noticed as I approached the coach meeting me that he was waving and smiling rather enthusiastically and I waved back, partly because I've driven a pickup in Texas for years and trucks always wave at each other. After he passed, I looked in the mirror and saw that he had a bright Gecko green JK as his toad vehicle. I've only gotten a couple of other Jeeps to wave back, but I keep trying.

It seems to me, that more mods equals more waves.... I think first thing I notice about another jeep is the tires and if it's lifted. 95% of the time if it is lifted or has aftermarket wheels and tires, they wave back, no matter what year....... Or they wave first.

I think they were just having a bad ‘Jeep’ day! I can almost picture her too gorgeous not to be noticed! Next time will be better!

Oh well...

I'd wave back, but nobody has ever waved to me. For that matter, I run across a ton of Jeeps of all models during my commute (mostly newer ones though)... I'd probably have a tired arm before I got very far.

I will always wave to another jeep. Regardless of model or whether it's a trail rig or stock. Whether their old or young. Man or woman. Lol always wave.

I never wave nor get the wave. I look at the rig then the driver, if he or she is doing the same thing, then wave! Lots of jeeps around here, but seems a LOT less jeepers.

Up in Quebec, its wranglers only. YJ, TJ and JK. Only the true fanatic jeeper will wave back. Both guys and gals. Stock or modified.

Btw..I run a stock jk unlimited. I wave.....

Funny there ..... i got more mud and sticks hangin off my basiclly stock TJ than the last 10 lifted wranglers I've seen put together.
So I aint real sure who the pavement pounders REALLY are ................
I wave ... but to wranglers .......... of any kind
............... on the motorcycle I'll wave to alll 2 wheelers ............. even gramps on a scooter ................. but I wont wave to a crotch rocket ....... and they dont seem to mind anyhow

Due to the stuck-up nature of many Jeep drivers, I don't get the wave (from those who generally wave) since I frequently drive my Liberty. So I no longer look for the wave and when I do drive my brother's TJ, I ignore those same wavers who've ignored me.

To OP: Don't let it bother you, I'm sure many of the drivers just don't know about the wave.

I always wave but where I live in OBX NC, there's just a bunch of 60+ people that drive jeeps. There are a few really nice ones. But I usually wave at xjs bc they'll prob wave back
