Check out http://www.origamijeepproducts.com and look at the Origami Jeep Sleeper. Great feed back. It attaches to the back of a standard TJ and creates a sleeping area large enough for a standard sleeping bag and a full size pillow without removing the front seat. No modification to the jeep or tools required. It is origami; just fold up into a stack, 4” tall and weights less than 25lbs and fits neatly in the back of the jeep.

Ai'nt no way I'd ever try to sleep in my YJ! Now an XJ I can see. Used to have a Yota 4runner... plenty of room. But not a swb YJ. That why its' called 'camping gear'.

last weekend my girlfriend and i slept in the back of my LJ. we had a tent that we were in but it was way too windy and cold so i put my back seat in the tent and put all the sleeping bags and padding in the back of my jeep, reclined the front seats forward, and stretched out pretty comfortably. im 6'3" shes only 5'3". it was actually really comfortable, better than the tent.

I find it more comfortable to sleep on the ground, or under the jeep if it's raining.

Used to have sex in my old CJ so sleeping in my TJ shouldn't be much of an issue

After 4200 miles and 8 days in a Uhaul, pulling my Jeep on a trailer, we ended up in Tok, Alaska, too tired to go any further, at 3 AM, with no motels open. Had a tent, but way to tired to find a suitable place to pitch it. We went to the back of the Uhaul, climbed up into the Jeep, opened a bottle of wine, reclined the seats, and threw a movie in the DVD player. One of the best nights' rest I've ever had, granted the circumstances. The hammock idea, however, sounds absolutely freaking brilliant. Back up to a tree, and tie one off to each roll bar. Imma go buy a couple next week.

I've got some hammocks upstairs. If you had a buddy with a jeep you could just back up to eachother and span the roll cages.

during hurricane ike i had to sleep down town in the court house. and that sucked. so i went out and slept in my TJ. after doing all that work for 3 days with little to no sleep. it was a great night of sleep, but i agree it would prob suck on a normal thing
