I rarely get the wave in my XJ but find that it is a lot more frequent when I'm riding in my dad's 3B or my brother's Jeepster.

i could count the number of waves i've gotten in the year i've had my cj on one hand. guess they're too busy picking their jaws up off the floorboards

every time, without fail, it brings a big ole smile to my face. this is why we wave.

This morning on the way to work I passed 2 other TJs. One of them was Solar Yellow like mine. Not only did I get a wave from each of em, I actually got the old headlight on/off along with the wave. Made my morning a little better.

Most of the time when I wave, 90% of the time, the other person never waves back, so I said the heck with it, I will wave, once they give me the wave, then I will return it.

The OLD TIMERS, that drive Jeeps, just don't know the wave thing, and I can understand that, as they just don't know the wave thing, or could care less about it.

Some people are just so involved into talking on their cell phones, and could care less about anything else, LIKE DRIVING !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Got a first Cherokee wave last week that was modified.

I think sometimes, that people get distracted at doing other things, like grabbing for their coffee mug, lighting a smoke, or looking at something other than that passing Wrangler, like a hot looking woman.

I have missed the wave at a very rare occasion, but it does happen.

Naw, they were trying to find their chart which laid out who they were allowed to wave to. By the time you match up "Model", "Year", "Modified Y/N", "Extent of modifications", "Tire Size" and "Do you consider it a real Jeep" whoever you might have waved to is long gone.

I hear you get those charts when you subscribe to JP Magazine.

*sigh* Why do I feel I always need to defend "soccer moms in stock 4 Dr JK's"

I'm not a soccer mom any more....I am however, a grandmother. I wave, in my stock 4Dr JK, and hardly ever get waves back in my city. I leave the city and people will wave back.

I do miss the occasional wave though, and when I do, I feel like an *** because I KNOW what they are thinking.
