The wave is not standard in my area. I still wave to every Jeep out there but they seem to give me the weirdest look. There is one guy when coming home from work and he owns a CJ and he always waves (CJ POWER :P)

Where I my life is spent, it's wranglers only. I don't have anything against other models, but EVERY time I have waved at anything other than a wrangler, I get the "WTF are you doing?" look.
I have also noticed a few people who have gone beyond a wave. Some honk. Others yell. My favorite: flash you lights and fogs back and fourth.

Where I am is like that too. The only guy that i don't know personally that waves at me drives a bright green JK with a lift and tires. But no one else ever does.

Still trying in mid-Michigan.

Normally, just get the "WTF?" look in return....if they notice and not on their cell phones.

Same in Connecticut. Most of the XJ's wave to each-other.

When i'm crusing down a straight road i normally drive with my right hand on the wheel and my left elbow on the window from and my left hand up on the top of the window.

When i see a modded XJ i just bend my elbow 90 degrees and give a peace sign. (It's like a motorcycle wave if you've ever seen one.)

Recently I've had waves from YJ's, not sure why though...I've always waved back.

The Jeeps I see most often are the Grand Cherokee's, it takes a little time to teach someone else the wave before they do it every time.

I have both a Cherokee and a Grand who wave, no matter what, once they see my Jeep, the hand goes up!

Yesterday, I waved to a 2012 Grand Cherokee, I didn't expect a wave back because the Jeep is so new, but surprisingly I did get a wave back

After a long stretch of road I get all paranoid that I missed a jeep and was a jerk and didn't wave back. I keep going over in my head if I passed a wave-worthy jeep or not.
That or I try waving to every jeep and feel like the friendliest driver on the road.
