The Jeep in the barn......

Anyone else come across something like this? While catching an A/C call one day I came across this guys house who had a whole barn full of old cars. He had a couple of caprice cop cars with the corvette engines in them, a late 70's firebird, some chevelles, ect.... He also had an 84 CJ renegade with 9,000 miles on it!!!! Apparently it was his dads. When he died he just kept it. He said that he'll occasionally drive it to the store, but refused to sell it.

Yep, I see a old Willys ( I think it's 2a) every Wednsday on my route . It's in a barn that's about ready to fall down with a beat up 69 or 70 Dodge Charger next to it. There was a rusty old CJ7 in there too, but it's been gone for about a year now.

I ask a guy about a CJ5 sitting in a field, very little rust, no top, and a birds nest built on the breather. It has sat ther since 94, and it will continue to sit there. He said that there was no way he'd sel it. Found out he has cars all over this county.
That was 3 years ago.

I got my 1970 Jeepster for $250...it was sitting in a field...the guy bought it 10 years ago, but never replaced the engine(needed rebuilt). I saw it since I needed a new window and frame and so I asked and it was about $200 cheaper for all of it, than for a window and frame elsewhere.

every time I go snowboarding I pass this yard that has a bunch of what look like world war two era jeeps along with some old 1940's type cars. Also on the way down the 15 there is a barn that has a chevelle ss, an old ram charger and a yj just off the side of the highway. been there a good 8 years never seen any of them move.

I'm selling my 2000 tj SE

Spotted this old Willys pickup in the little town of Tulelake, CA one day, right downtown but quite well hidden behind a bunch of brush. Trapped between the brush and the fence. Looks like it is in great shape, from what I could see.

Theres this guy who lives a few miles down the road from me who has a CJ-5, believed to be the Levi edition. My dad says it hasnt moved since before my brother was born in 1986. Parked next to that is a Porsche 911 of the same era. he also has a ford flatbed towtruck. theres alot of other cars around there but they arent important. The big question is; if he lets a CJ-5 and a Porsche sit out to rot, what is in his two car garage?

Jeep In Barn

This is my very first post on Jeep Forum.....

I have a 1972 Jeep CJ5, 304 V8, 3 spd, Factory Steel Top, Original 8,000 pound Ramsy winch.......29,000 original verified miles. Original Paint. Bias ply mud and snow tires. Original 2 barrel carb with the 304 V8 stickers on original air cleaner.

It was owned by the original owner since new, I bought it 5 years ago. He was 85 years old and used it only during hunting season. The rest of the time it was stored in a garage. Most of the miles on it were from towing (it came with a tow bar). He decided he wasn't going hunting anymore and put it out on the street. I happened to be driving home for lunch when he did, and it was mine an hour later.

It replaced my first 1972 Jeep that my first wife ran off with. That one was a midyear Kaiser jeep, so it had the uneven firing Buick V6, 50,000 original miles.

This post reminded me of this site www.carsinbarns.com

I don't think there are any Jeeps yet, maybe we can get him to start a Jeep section.
