awsome thread!!

ive found tons of trash, beat up cars, abandonded mine shafts, dead animals, bones, houses in the middle of nowhere and stuff like that during my adventures.

-while mountainbiking by cave creek AZ we found a car and a bunch of mine tunnells and explored a few.....bad idea haha

- wheeling when i first got my TJ (the first weekend i had it), found this huge tank in the middle of the desert near Granite mtn, AZ

-found a random water chute at fossil creek AZ

it runs...........well the important thing is it runs

Wow, I killed 3 hours between yesterday and tonight at work reading this. I love reading about stuff people find out in the woods. People who don't get out into nature never see this kind of stuff; one of the benefits of being a Jeeper. You guys out west are so lucky to have such an area to explore.

Some stuff I've found:
Wrecked Dirtbike

Quarries

Cistern with working water pump

Wrecked XJ

6 or so abandoned shacks

women's undergarments

hobo camp complete with hobo

campers in the middle of nowhere, with no road in

asphalt patches

abandoned girl scout camp

back way into state prison

empty 55 gallon drums and propane tanks

clamshell excavator

payloader (kid not included)

CCC camp with huge tank buried underground

cell phone towers

old overgrown apple orchards

80's mustang, stripped chevelle SS, old panel truck, old tractor, numerous other unknown other cars, hippie van, schoolbuses, numerous old rims and axles

Big black snake that I thought was dead, till i decided to jump over it

Abandoned airport and buildings

Numerous house foundations

Picnic table

92 YJ, 2.5 l/o, 4" Lift, 33" Super Swampers, Superwinch EPi9.0, Aussie Locked Dana 30, Uniden pro510xl CB and Firestik antenna, Hi Lift, Tuffy Center Console, Miller Lite tap handle shift knob, 40mm ammo can tool box, chains, straps, etc. - Sold to a good home

I thought that pulling the rear track bar on TJs made allowed the rear end to flex more.

You're kidding right? You cannot remove the trackbar (aka panhard) from a link suspension unless there is some triangulation in the links, or some other way to keep the axle centered.

Removing the antisway bar can give more flex, but it's not recommended either.

JP Magazine pulled the track bar from one of their project rigs. They said it made the rear end "squirmy" but it was still drivable.

I could be wrong, it's been known to happen.

you must be talking about the swaybar.

my Jeep does not have one.

read end wiggles a bit

didn't have one when I got the Jeep apparently, so I don't exactly what I'm missing, if anything. it's really fun driving with the front disco'd too though.

Just got back from a trip to my usual spot, and found a new addition. It looks like someone had broad sided a blazer, towed it by its stinger (all mangled), flipped it, and then set it on fire. Engine still in the bay, and tires burned off. It had to have happened on the trail, because there is no way someone could have towed it through the narrow trails leading to the clearing where I found it.

how about on the way back from jeepin?

July 2003, coming back to Pine, CO from Red Cone & Webster Pass, we ran into a full grown buffalo on Highway 126! Thankfully no one, including the buffalo was hurt!
