its been there since the 50s. The ford blew a cylinderhead gasket and dhe cat was sent to recover the crew and the ford. then the cat also suffered engine damage and the crew had to be rescued. this equipment was used to mine diamonds in the Namib desert. these vehicles can only be reaced by special permit as they are in the diamond consession area.
anyone interested in visiting? i am organizing a tour for 2013.

I'm on my phone but that ship doesn't look 100 years old. Washed up by a tropical storm or hurricane or something?

Okay so I'm out in the desert just cruising around making my own trails to test the capabilities of my fresh new tires I had Recently installed when I come across a tail rotor which appeared to be from an old war helicopter because it just had that distinct army green look. So I get out to check it out and notice there are parts from a helicopter an old WW2 Huey or whatever I think it's properly named a UH1H it something any ways I found the wreckage of one and there were 20 round mags scattered everywhere along with rusted rifle rounds on the ground. Thought it was pretty cool.

Huey's weren't around until around Viet Nam. I'd call that a late 50's or 60's era helo, but I've been wrong before.

Still way cool though!

Keep moving forward. But keep an eye on history, for if you don't, you are doomed to repeat it.

As is the H3. I owned an H3 Alpha with the Offroad Package. 5.3L V8, 35's with a mild shackle and torsion bar lift, and factory lockers F/R. The thing was a beast with an exhaust, intake and PCM tune and really went places both on and off road.

Only vehicle I've ever owned that I sorely miss...

Looking for: 03-06 interior plastic trim. PM me.

This sir will get you kicked out of the jeep club. You may only miss your jeep.

Don't get me wrong, I love my Jeep, but I have far less problems with the H3 than I do with my Jeep. That being said the Jeep gets beat on way, way harder than the H3 ever did. I always enjoyed watching people's faces though when the thing would walk up rock shelfs like a fat kid pulling himself out of a swimming pool.
