Looks like a natural spring/well to me. Pretty cool in my opinion.

anyone notice the chainlink fence behind the house? makes it look not quite so abandoned/out of the way. I'm not trying to disparage, just pointing out.

It looks like there hasn't been anyone for quite some time to be honest. Decaying building, and no paths. I mean; if someone would live there at least some of the grass would eventually be trampled enough to stop growing right? I don't see any signs of that.

Very cool find though!

It's actually a church, not a house and by the looks of it i think no ones been in there in quite some time. The whole area was fenced off so I didn't get a closer look. That and I've seen this movie before and I know not to snoop around in an old abandoned church in the middle of nowhere when it's dark and rainy.

How much does that weigh? It would be painted and in my garage if at all possible.

I would have put it in my front yard. Possibly as a mail box post.

easily 300+ lbs. took a lot a couple of us to move it. we were kind of scared of it though.
the trail we were on bordered a military base for some portion of it and there were many signs that said "travel at own risk, active missle range" yada yada yada. but there were a few people in the town that said that the bombs could still technically be active.
better safe then sorry i guess.

^probably sarcasm.
