an old man asleep behind the wheel of an abandoned car..turns out he was deer hunting; that was his "stand"; it was pretty funny after we found out he wasn't dead..

More along the MIB and ghost stories lines...

there is a place in the foothills of the Ozarks mountains called "the lights"; Its a lookout into a valley, with a creek (or small river, depending on rainfall) at the bottom; at certain times of the year, you can look down and see lights on the opposite side of the valley; to lights like headlights, but lights like dim lanterns or glowing gas pockets; the oddity is..that they move rapidly, from one side of the valley to the other, up and down the valley; nobody has ever been able to explain what they really are..I've seen them a few times..definitely something..I couldn't guess what though...

a long time ago, we tried to investigate them; the water was low, so a couple of guys went down in jeeps with CBs and Q-Beams; they would shine the Q-Beams up so we could see their position; we would give them a direction to go..everytime they would get a little close..the glow would move..

If you ever meet anyone from Dover, Arkansas, ask them about "the Dover Lights"..

no page 9 either..

Ask someone to take you up there; it's been a few years since I've seen any lights, but you never know; If you don't have a way up, drop me an e-mail when you get into town; either I'll take you, or have someone run you up there..

Big Brother called in a "cleaner" to take care the issues with page 9; it is now sanitized and ready for viewing; I think it contained the receipe for Soylent Green.

Last weekend I found this.

talked to the BLM Ranger and it had been up there for about 2 months. It rolled off an off-camber road into a deep valley. The hardtop or what was left is about 100yrds up the canyon. It has been stripped pretty good. I can say that only the axle housings which are bent, the tranny and engine block are left. every thing else is gone. I would like the tranny but I am not carrying that thing out.

Ford T-18 Tranny
Dana 44s Detroits w/ 5.89s

Lots of other random things and dents

If there were any way to get a truck down there, I'd be pulling the engine and tranny for sure if I were near there.
