If we went around locking every thread on JF that was full of BS we might as well shut this place down.

We found 12 full cow skelotons in the woods behind our house when we were "exploring". To the 5 of us it was amazing. We were only around 12 at the time, and we were riding a go kart(?) that we built.

I posted a while back about a murder down a dirt road near me. I went back there yesterday, all that was there was a sign.

My mom was with me and was all nervous even though no one was around or anything.

I'll go back soon and check it out though.

In my area, down a one lane winding dirt road that isnt much above a two track, is a pair of signs somewhat similar to that on either side of a 1/8 mile section. They read something to the effect of "This section of road is under video surveillance by the xxxxxxx County Road Commission." Sure enough, there are infrared lights and cameras mounted in the trees looking down on the road. It was a bit odd the first time I came across it, as this area is in a section of woods miles and miles from any town, with no residences or structures around for a mile in any direction. I'll see if I cant get some pics of the signs in the future.

Probably a dumping area they cleaned up. They are trying to cut down on dumpers.. I have a CRAP load of pictures from going wheeling where people dumped. Makes the place hazardous and unpleasant to wheel.

A car full of teenagers died out there a few years ago. I guess the families sued the hell out of the county for whatever reason (even though the kids were too drunk to exit their car after speeding off a corner and into a creek). So they put the cameras out there to monitor traffic and road conditions..........on a one lane dirt road in the middle of nowhere that sees maybe 10 cars a day.

well at least if something happens they can dispatch the appropriate authorities.. IE FD Para or Police.

This is the area in question. That creek behind the jeep is a lot deeper than it looks, and is the same one that ate the car full of kids.

ooh man that sucks

it was a gang related thing in this case, they lived in a city but grew up around here. they shot a rival execution style. my mom was called for jury duty for it actually, but we have a bunch of connections to the police and investigators so she was dismissed. my stepdad works for the NYS police.
