I was driving the back way up the north coast from Sydney (old dirt road made by convicts back in 1700s) and about 3 hours out there is a big tower on a hill, looks just like a city apartment block with balconies all round. Must be 15 stories high. It is in the middle of nowhere. I cannot imagine what it is. Maybe it's a scientific testing facility of some sort? I dunno, gonna go back and find out one day though.

Just off I90 near austin minnesota was an old farm with a '60s era navy jet fighter in the back yard. Why it's there I've no idea.

I came across a water troth(i think thats what they call them), anyway, its what they pour water into to let cows drink. It was in the middle of no where with a cow which had previously died a few days earlier.
Came back about 1 month later and it was almost all bones.

i was out on my own land and found one of those big chest freezers. it wasnt there the day before so i go up to it and realized it had the most horrid smell coming from it. so we4 called the cops to have them check it out, plus the trespassing and dumping. they opened it up and it had a dead horse in it.
a few years earlier someone found a car on the same land. when they opened the trunk they found the car dealer. scary thing is all this is on a scout reservation.

Came across this little shrine while wheeling in the Jim Thorpe, PA area. It kind of freaked us out because it was in out in the middle of nowhere.

we were on our quads once and came up on a wooded area and there were literaly millions of beer cans and a couple couches, there were so many beer cans they were like knee deep in the middle and there was a couple benches and a confederate flag folded in the shape of a cross hanging upside down from a tree, though it was pretty weird

I was doing some winter wheeling a few years back when I came across 5 sheep that had fallen into a fozen drainage canal and couldn't get out. They were soaking wet so it took everything my buddy and I had to get them up the 4' bank and out of there. They must have weighed a good 300 lbs each.
I found a small memorial carved out of wood for a 12 year old boy who had died. My guess is that he used to camp in the area or something and his family spread his ashes there. That's all I can think of at this point, besides a bunch of drunk rednecks shooting their assualt rifles and what not. ![]() |

Saw a 35"+ tire floating about 2 feet under the surface in a quarry lake once... legend has it, it's a lifted F150 that was jumped into the lake. Somebody tried to winch it out, but only managed to flip it upside-down.
