Another reason I love being a Jeeper!

Went on a float trip 2 hours from home. Got a flat on my passenger side rear. I had a jack and a lug wrench; however the lugs on the spare were bigger because I didn't have any extras. Of course no tools to get it off besides channel locks and they were too tight and eating away at the lugs. So while at the rest stop an XJ'er asked if I had the green TJ with the flat. I explained my story and he had sockets to fit the spare lugs! 15 min and I was on my way. Lesson learned be more prepared. But thanks to you XJ'er!!!

Ps the tire that went flat was jut rotated in from the spare spot. Never even seen road. Checked pressure before I left an I couldn't find a nail. Maybe bead was never sealed great???

Thanks Jeepers!

Justin

XJ drivers: there to fix CJ/YJ/TJ's because the designers of those vehicles forgot to allow room to put things like an adequate set of tools. Haha.

If I'm going on a longer wheeling trip I can almost fit enough stuff in the back to rebuild on the side of the road.

Jeepers are good people. I was wheeling once and someone snapped an axle shaft.

Before the guy even knew what was broke, there was someone jacking it up and another person donating an axle shaft!

Because I replace stuff before it's completely dead, I usually carry a lot of "good enough" parts on the trail. Usually never think twice about giving them to someone if needed.

What we have here is a JEEPER - Not an XJer, not a CJer, not a YJer, not a whatever-er

What Justin has described is what I have seen and done, time after time. We help anybody we can, with no care of what they drive.

Also, my 67 CJ5 had a kick-butt compartment under the passenger seat to fit an "adequate" tool kit

JEEPers are good peoples
