Zone Nitro Shocks

I went on to zone offroad today about to buy the 3" lift, but i saw there are new shocks available. Do you think i should go for the new ones or the standard shocks? Here is a link to the site 3" TJ Suspension System

Haven't installed any at our shop yet (just got the notice of availability 2 weeks ago) but I think a friend of mine was planning on getting them.
If he gets them on I will let you know what he thinks.
Plus they are black instead of white so they will look better to some people.

Since they are so new, you might also check the reviews on BDS 9500 shocks.

I am fairly certain they are identical.

I couldn't get someone at Zone to confirm this for me, but I was told they use the same supplier for their shocks.

The standard Hydro shocks from Zone ride great. I have never used the Nitros from Zone or BDS, so sorry, I cannot help there.

The Zone Nitro shocks are not the same as the BDS.
The 9500 shock is a monotube shock but the Zone is a twin tube.

Thanks for pointing that out. You are correct - the Zone Nitros are twin tube shocks.

I should have looked at the shocks before I replied. :teehee:

The BDS 9500 shocks are about $100/each and the Zone shocks are $40/each. There is no way they are identical.

Thanks for the info. A buddy of mine said that the rc 3.25 is a better setup compared to this. any thoughts?

Never driven anything with the RC kits but my friend's Zone 4" rides just as nice as my BDS 3".

I've had and installed many RC lifts over the years and never had any problems. The older style shocks rode a little rough, but nothing like the Skyjacker nitros.I installed the RC 4" lift on my 05' and my brother's 05' Willys ed.I installed the RC 3.25 on my 03' and put 4" springs up front to level it out.I like the firm(not stiff)ride and RC fixed any issue that I threw at them free.I had no real issues,I just needed 4" springs and longer shocks to level mine.:shhh:
RC 3.25"/1" BL and 35's.

Is one of the lifts more complete than the other or do they come with the same parts?
