Wiring question for putting an 04 hard top on an 02?
Possibly buying a hard top from an 04 to put on my 02 TJ. Just wondering if I have to do anything to the wiring to hookup the rear defrost/windshield wiper? If so, is there some kind of kit I can get? My electrical experience is pretty much zero. Thanks.

You will need the harness if you don't have it.

This is the wiring kit:
http://www.quadratec.com/products/11190_4X_PG.htm Unfortunately since they changed the wiring harness in 2003, you will also need one of these: http://www.jeepsareus.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=JAU&Product_Co de=HTW9702BS&Category_Code=Wrangler4 You want the option: "2003 Up top to 97-02 Jeep" Basically, you pull the leads out of the harness that comes in the kit and replace it with the harness from Jeepsareus. It took me and one other person about 3 hours to put in the wiring kit. It's mostly running cable and plugging leads into various existing harnesses, but there is one connection that has to be soldered (at least, there was one on mine)

Ouch, that will damage the wallet (and the patience) even further. Thanks for the input guys, may just hold off for an 02 Top...
