Windshield frame armor

It appears that all the big players that used to make windshield frame armor do not anymore. Can someone point me in the direction of a fabricator or company that makes a quality product where fitment isnt an issue.
Thanks guys

Doesn't UCF still make them?

Has anyone installed the UFC guards? Hows the fitment, are there any really big gaps? Whats up with that weld in the middle?

Brooks Customs used to be a vendor on here but hasn't been active in almost two years (BCC) but they sell on eBay and are from Texas. Looks like it's about $200, or $180 if you order without light tabs.

Have you checked with Gen-Right?

They used to make it, but not sure if they still do or not. I can't find it on their website when I just looked.

Some other vendors still list Gen-Right windshield armor, but maybe its no longer available?

I'll double check, but I'm pretty sure that's been discontinued.

You could always do something like this:

The mount is 3/16" High Strength Steel Plate and should be able to take a hit or two... not much protecting the top of the windshield, but if you've rolled your Jeep, you've probably got other things to worry about.

Bonus, you get a killer light out of the deal too.

I don't have a need for the light bar nor the money. Plus the install says that the brackets don't touch the frame meaning no attachment points up from the hinge.

Does anyone have one from Brooks Customs? Interesting design, I'd like to hear everyone's thoughts on it

Talk to Dan at Motobilt. Tell me, where on the upper part of the WS frame would you WANT to attach a piece of armor ? If you don`t want the light mount cut it off when it comes.

UCF still makes them and at a better price than most did. The weld is because the windshield bents in the outer plane and a slit that is welded it the way to make the part. You can grind the weld smooth if it bothers you. The top attaches to the frame with 2 rivets so it will not be removed ever. I bought a set but sold them before I installed it as I usually fold the windshield down when wheeling.

If you're set on Genright I'd call Genright to confirm, but in the event they don't have them I bet 4WP might. If you can't find them anywhere else here's a guy near me with a set for sale...

Posion Spyder alos makes some with LED mounts for TJ's.

The problem with the UCF and Genrights and I think Poison Spyder or someone else like that had a similar model...none go to the top of the frame...

I was/am looking for something that goes at least to the top corner, just to cover the damage I already have...
