Leave it alone tell you cant pass inspection. It seems they all crack. My friend has replaced the front windshield three times. Mine is cracked top to bottom and a foot across, just learn to live with it.

Make a big "I rolled it over and all it did was crack my windshield" sticker. Put that on and let people think your rig is tough.

Seriously they crack all the time. As far as I'm aware, you will still pass inspection as long as it doesn't obstruct your view of the road, and the window is not going to fall out. Like everyone else said...get over it.

$300 bux for a windshield! I'd shop around for sure. I just got one installed in my 02 for $93+tax which was just under $100 and the guy came to my work and installed it there.

An ugly Jeep with some stuff.

If you call Safelite and get a quote, tell them it's coming out of pocket, not from insurance. They'll give you a much cheaper quote then. They replaced mine for less than 2 hundo.

You should be able to have it replaced for under $150 (installed). Don't try to install the replacement yourself - it's a huge pain in the ***. It's the ONLY automotive work I've ever done that I wish I'd had just paid someone to do it - it was the job with the most effort and the least return - and the best part of doing any job yourself is pride in doing it yourself and knowing it's done right. I didn't even find appreciation in that. It sucked, and I've replaced 3-4 windshields before (2x CJs, 2x VW beetles). The glue-in thing is just no fun and it has to be done just right or it will either leak or look like crap.

OP, I realize yours obstructs the view, but for other Jeepers out there I'd tell you to leave it be (provided it doesn't obstruct the view).

Mine's been cracked for several years now. Rather than replace it with a new (soon-to-be-cracked) windshield, I just live with it.
