Winch

I have an aftermarket bumper and the instructions for installing the winch plate are only for OE bumper. I figured it would be about the same but it aint can anyone help me? Also I ordered a winch should I wait to put the plate on til after the winch arrives?

Is the winch plate for an OEM bumper or for your bumper? If for an OEM, no guarantee it will mount to your bumper simply. Generally winch plates are not generic.

It sounds good in concept doesn't it? Obviously reality may be a bit different.

Sounds like you need to figure out where the mount holes are on your bumper and then see about creating holes in the plate to match the bumper mounts.

So long as your aftermarket bumper isn't a tube bumper, the winch and its mounting plate should fit fine.
