Will a yj ax-15 fit a tj?????

hey guys, theres a guy sellin a recently rebuilt ax-15 out of a yj and was wondering if it would fit my 97 4.0L. reason being cause mine will need rebuilding sometime soon and if this is a good deal than might as well do it instead of spending extra on rebuilding mine. hes sellin it for 200. is that a good deal or should i just rebuild mine when the time comes?


97 sport - BDS 3" w/ dt3000 and jks discos, 33"x12.5" trxus mts, tkhfab front double hoop bumper, cb crap, 1.25" spidertrax spacers, flareless and flat fendered

If his is out of a 4.0L YJ and it is new enough (90 or newer) to have an AX-15 like your TJ does, it'll bolt right in.

is it worth it? hes askin $200.

$200 sounds fair if it's in truly good condition. What makes you think it's in better shape than yours is though? Not saying that negatively, it's just a lot of work to swap in a t-case that is in questionable condition.

i wouldnt swap it in yet. my synchros or bearings or somethings are goin bad but just not sure when it will call it quits. would it be easier and not much more to just have a shop rebuild it when the time comes?
