Will it work..yes.. is it a good brand yes, JB conversion is fine. As for a drive shaft, check with tom woods...he also runs a special with the SYE and shaft as a set.

That's what you need. It's good. Driveshaft, look for a local shop. TW is way too expensive. I got mine local with the same parts as TW and paid $220 out the door and it was ready in less than 4 hours.

I noticed some dont come with a new tail housing/bearing carrier and some do. I also noticed some come with a new output shaft and some dont. Which is better?

I think you're referring to SYE kits, vs hack n' taps.

If it doesn't come with a new output shaft and housing, it's a hack n' tap, meaning you need to cut the tailshaft yourself.

Do whichever you'd like. They both work well. The advantages of the hack n' tap are price and simplicity. The advantage of the SYE kit is a stronger output shaft. Since you also have to open the TC to do it, you can check/replace the chain and add a TeraFlex 2low kit.

What do you mean by cut the new tailshaft for a hack and tap?

With a hack n tap you don't take apart your t-case. You cut off a piece of your existing output shaft and tap a hole into it. Then a flange mounts on there - thus - hack n tap.

Either one will work. Here is a hack n tap install:

JB Conversions Supershort SYE is IMHO the best option out there. When you start looking at a 15 or 16" driveshaft or shorter the length of the SYE gets to be important.

I would second having the driveshaft made local. I pay $210 for shafts at a shop near me and they tend to be ready within 2hrs of the time I place the order.

I would stay away from the "pre-built" shafts that are not custom made based on your measurments.
