will a 95 cherokee np231 from a 4.0 5 speed fit on my 99 wrangler sport 5 speed?
my buddy has one and i wanna swap mine out for his...will it work???

It probably will, especially since his Cherokee also has a 4.0L/5-speed, but unless it's a very late model '95, you would lose the leak-free rear seal your TJ's 231 has that prevents loss of ATF if you had to remove the rear driveshaft for some reason. I'm not sure if you could use parts from yours to give his that same benefit.
