Will 6" fender flares cover 33x12.50R16 tire width?
I currently live in NC but am moving back to Mass. There is a law in Mass that states, the fender must cover the entire tire. Now i really do not like the look of skinny tires so i am wondering if 6 in fender flares will cover the 33x12.50R16 tires. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks

I agree.. these flares are bomb proof. I thought I rubbed them off on tree bark.. but they are indestructable so flexible. Sap grated in but they are awesome.. no bushwackers

6" flares will only cover the tires if your rims have 4" backspacing or more. 4" is only barely enough.
If you're not going to be bashing your flares against stuff, the pocket flares are just fine. But do get the offbrand - why pay $400 for BWs when you can pay $150 and they look the same? |

Not quite - not "legally". The rears aren't quite covering the tread. Plus in some states the flare (or fenderwell) has to come out to the edge of the tire sidewall! If I run a straight edge up from the edge of my tread, I have about 1 1/4" sticking out. |

I have had the bushwacker flares now for at least 5 years no bad luck, including my dog and friends using them as steps(before I chewed them out). but I live in HI 85 degrees mybe that is the reason
I have SS boggers and the nobs on the outside of the tire stick out from the flares, gets me every time on the state inspection. good luck ![]() |
