Will a 4.0L mate with Ax-5

Help, I am new to this.... i just bought a 97 TJ that does not run. I also bought a 4.0 I6 to put in place of the 2.5. Will I have to upgrade the tranny or will it mate to the Ax-5. Any other suggestions would be helpful as well. Thanks in advance..

I'm pretty sure it wont, even if it would it's not very strong and I would advise against it.

Get a AX-15 or NV3500

I'm not sure, but I think the transmission input shaft is different. Also I doubt the AX5 would hold up to the 4.0L.
