I'd bet they will fit but realize that newer seats position your butt about 1" lower so you may want to consider installing some 1" spacers between the floor and seats. Lots of complaints about that new lower seating position that was made that way to better position the driver/passenger for the airbags.

When you have a choice, buy American made.

I hate lower "car like" riding seats.

I'd be very surprised if the bolt pattern in the floor where they bolt to has changed in the slightest. Making 1" tall spacers would be easy.

When you have a choice, buy American made.

Yea, the newer style seat feels like it sits much lower than the older ones. My dad has a 04 LJ and it seems like Im sitting a foot lower(slight exaggeration). Personally I like the 97-02 seats better in general.
edit: 100 bucks?? pick em up anyway amd make the seat risers

i'm sorry maybe i didn't explain in more detail, i should have... it does not come with the brackets just the seats. will just the seats bolt to my old riser because there is nothing wrong with them, and thus should not affect the seat height as much correct?

As far as i know, the seat risers are different, which is why the 03-06 seats sit lower.

Yes, I put 2005 rubicon seats in my 01 sport. I am 6'5" so I like the fact that they sit lower now I dont have to lean the seat back as far to see out of the windshield. Bolt right in no problems

From what I can tell the only difference in the seat height has to do with the actual seat bracket mounts and has nothing to do with the actual seat. Take the newer seats off their base and install them on your 97-02 base vs the 03-06 base.

The bases from the 97-02 seats are different than the bases from the 03-06 seats.

You need the seats and the frames in order for it to be a direct bolt in swap. The newer seats don't fit on the old frames/sliders and vice versa.

Ask me how I know...
