Who is King...Goodyear, BFG or someone else?

forget pricing, if i want the best offroad tire that can still drive me to work everyday, are MTR's the best thing out there? I'm going to be within 32-33" tire range , what is the best tire i can get?

My top two choices are Bfg M/T and Swamper TSL Radial. The Bfg's last longer and are quieter but the Swampers are massive in the mud and look meaner. It really depends on how much of what you are going to be doing.

I agree, the BFG M/Ts will last a long time on a jeep, and they are great in the mud, so what else could you want

MTR is my opinion...I run 31's and I have a friend that has 33's in the BFG MT's and we do comparable in the mud that we have seen together, but on the rocks, he has to try a couple more different lines than I do on the tough spots. It could just be our driving, but it is pretty predictable. I wont put on anything else on my daily driver except MT/R's right now.
IMHO,
Mark

I love my MTR's, but I think they are about the same as BFG's in my opinion. Swampers are awesome offroad, but aren't as good on road. I have used all 3, but for on road and off, BFG's and MTR's are neck and neck. HTH

I would take my BFG MT/KMs over the Goodyears. They are awesome on and offroad....they're not loud either!

I was trying to decide between the MT/R's and the BFG MT's, but here comes Interco's TrXus, which looks like a siped Swamper for about $60 less than the Goodyear. I think I might try the TrXus, does anybody have these yet?

Go with the MT/R. Everyone I know running BFG's says they would own MT/R's if they had the cash. The only way the BFG is better is that is has that rim protector which helps more than you would think.

I've heard the new Bridgestone Dueler M/Ts do great offroad and wear great because of the new rubber Bridgestone is using. But then again, I've only heard......

Me, I went cheap. I got my some 33x12.5 Kumho Venture MTs

new tires

I just bought the Pyreless 32x11.50 force 4 version called the baha A/T.
$89.00/ tire.

I wanted to go to the BFG A/t (my wife has them on her SUV), but I could not afford that much of a tire at this time.

Today I went 4x4, in snow, mud, and ice. The tire did a good job.

Lastly, if you are driving a vehicle as a daily driver, I would not recommend a Mud terrain tire. Especially if you have to deal with a lot of ice. They look and perform well in a lot of off road situations, but also do have some down sides for daily use

Not everyone. I have BFG's and will put a set on when these wear out.
