I have replaced the big main belt on it! could it be the air intake>? I don't enjoy driving "BIG RED" no more due to this whistle! Stock or aftermarket intake? The PO put an after market on mine it does the same as yours.. sometimes just twisting the filter will stop the noise didn't work for mine but has worked on other vehicles

All stock or modified? (TB spacer, cold air, etc). Picture if you have it. My 98 had the spacer and cold air (sort of) and it would whistle when giving it gas and at certain throttle positions.
Now for worse case, oneof my 01's had an annoying whistle, all was stock and it ended up being a bad intake manifold gasket.

Hopefully that will help some.

tighten up the intake manifold bolts. mine came loose slightly and it would whistle for the first 1-5 minutes depending on engine temperature. The colder it was outside the longer it would take for the tolerance between the head and intake to expand and seal the leak. I believe they are 14mm bolts, if the noise is continuous spray intake cleaner to find the leak, maybe the intake has a crack.
