where to get a custom rear bumper

What are some good machine shops and places that make good bumpers that arent overpriced like arb olympic and bulletproof? Yes i know those are great bumpers but i dont think they are worth 500 dollars. Badazbumpers.com is one and im looking for one that looks cooler but still isnt overpriced

I have Jeeperman bumpers front and back. I would highly recommend them. www.jeeperman.com When I got mine the rear was around $600, but that came with trailer hitch, 2 clevis tabs, swing away tire carrier with High lift mount and 2 jerry can holders. I'm not sure what and if rangler is charging for them since they took over.

If you want pictures of the Jeeperman bumpers, I can send send some. The rangler site doesn't sem to have all the original bumpers that were offered yet.

Print out any of these plans and take it to a local welder and see how much it'll cost. It'll save you lots!

I bought my F Bumper from www.uglymutha.com
I don't like the look of the shackle mount on the steves fab bumper
the shackle mount on mine is a through and through, welded
in the front and the rear of the bumper, not just welded to the front.
plus the way the shackles mount is great for angled pulls, the
shackle keeper is nice too - keeps it from clanging around.

I think its great, I have bashed it into and onto rock without
any damage. I am looking at making my own rear bumper -
I like the look of the runck bumper that wraps around under the 1/4
panel...some MORE shackle mounts. just need to put the money,
the materials, and the welder together at the same time

you might also look here: http://www.jeepfabrication.com/

you know, that robbing a bank think doesn't look so hard
it's the getting away that looks tough!

btw, the guy who makes the raingler/jeeperman bumpers is here
in San Antonio, he is doing some work on my jeep and I started
asking him about the pile of bubble wrapped bumpers in his store
room. (maybe I can score myself a deal!)

I'm all about homemade bumpers.

don't know where you are but if you are looking for a custom built bumper- pm JIM79CJ7 - he can custom build anything you can dream up, and if you can't dream- he will!

Dropped my jeep off at his house thursday night- rebuilding my lower control arm brackets, building a rear tire carrier, jerry can carrier, ant. mount and rear bumper.
