wheel stud replacment - OK to do on Axle?
I'm gonna be really really mad if I need to pull the axle apart again.
is it OK to take the brake hardware off (discs) and just pound them out, and then replace, or do I need to take everything apart. Can't get half the lugnutz on my 8.8 so I'm just going to replace them all with new ones. -BN

well, for future reference for anyone else. You do in fact need to remove the axle from the axle housing.
Parking brake crap is in the way - you can't get the studs out from the back (at least not on mine.) -BN

I got mine out of the rear drum with no problems. Popped the drum, tapped the old one out and pulled the new one in. No other brake or axle disassembly was required.

He has disc in the rear it's harder to do than drums, the axle needs to be pulled out a little at least .
