Money, that's why. I think it would be cheaper to buy a new aftermarket soundbar. I had hoped I could rip it all off and spray the soundbar with bedliner or something.

Another option?

I'm wondering, how much work would it be to install some OEM speaker pods from a later TJ?

Unless they are a major PITA to install, pods might be the best option. They are nice looking and don't get in the way if you decide to install a cage.

Thoughts?
