Oh boy...just forget the whole thing! If YOU, the owner, want to put a 3" BL on go ahead..it's really no concern of mine anyway

Can you run a 1" BL without any other necessary modification? Isn't it, remove old mounts, install new mounts, tighten, drive, no issues?

If you run a 2" or greater, don't you need to start worrying about a lot more work, such as driveline, steering, etc?

With a 1", pretty much yes. You'll probably have to adjust the t-case linkage a little or use a bracket. You'll also have to drop the fan shroud.

With a 2", you'll need a t-case shifter bracket and possibly a fuel filler extension. The Performance Accessories 2" kit comes with these parts.

The driveline will never be effected by a body lift.

Just install a belly up and a gas skid that raises the tank (like Rokmen) at the same time and you won't need those things.

They would fit.

This is not my Jeep and I have never seen this jeep nor have I taken this off road. Personally I like having more tire clearance but once again this is not my Jeep

It would be up to you to decide if 35's "fit" by what you want your Jeep to do.

Of course it raises the COG, but does it raise it enough to matter?

If you can lean your rig over this far without it falling over and you have more than a 1 1/4" body lift, do it really matter?

^^ I don't think that video helps the situation. look at how they are trying to pull the jeep out, i mean seriously??? How is yanking it out sideways helping? I'm sure that even if the jeep had no BL, the body would still get yanked off because of how they are pulling on it using the roll bar. That video is pure stupidity.

Anyway I'm not even sure why i am posting, i have a Cherokee, and there is no such thing as a BL for me...

Mine came with a 2" body lift. At first I wanted to take it out because I didn't like the look, but now i've been building around it (flat belly, raised gas tank, blah blah...) so I think I'll leave it alone. The look only bothers me from the back, and a tire carrier takes care of that.

Thanks Blaine for putting the verbal diarrhea that comes with these threads to rest.

You people that post urban legends, innaccurate tech, and less then accurate physics really need to stop and think before you post. If you dont know what you are talking about, just stop.
