Whats so bad about a 2 inch body lift?

What do you have to do different when installing a 2 inch body lift, then you do when you install a 1 inch body lift? Im looking for the most lift via bl possible... i have 2.25 inch spacers. And 33x12.50's... any help is appreciated!
Thanks!!!

you can get a 3" BL if you like. anything over 1" looks like a sac full of rectums, but hey, its your jeep, you can make it look as dumb as you want.

Anything over 1.25 is ugly as well as dangerous because it raises your COG and makes it easy to roll.

Seeing as you already have a BB and you don't seem to want an entire suspension lift just get the jks 1.25 BL and call it good.

Save your money.....any BL is ugly as hell. Lift if right with a suspension lift. If money is an issue, start with a cheaper brand suspension lift and work your way up. Its way more worth it for off-roading and its less dangerous.

You've got to deal with the fan shroud and tcase linkage just like a 1". Look at pictures of a 2" lift and if you want one get one. i personalyl don't like anything over a 1", but it's your Jeep.

Since you have a 4 banger like me, you can do a 3" suspension lift on the cheap. I did it and i love it.

You take front coils out of a ZJ and put them in the front your your jeep, and then move the front springs that were in the front of the wrangler in the rear of the wrangler. Thats it, get new shocks and your good to go.

Writeups:

results of the ZJ lift (on the tj) are in

You can also check the build thread in my sig to check it out

A body lift has a significantly smaller affect on the position of the C.O.G. when compared to a suspension lift. You are only lifting the body which is of minimal mass next to the engine, transmission, T.C., and Frame.

A body lift utilized "taller" bushings between the frame and body which required longer bolts, this allows for a greater moment about the point at which the bolts meet the frame in relation to the body increasing the chance of potentially catastrophic failure during an accident, not only creating more risk for you but causing a greater amount of damage to your Jeep. These bolts will also wear faster than those equipped from the factory over time.

So, ideally a small body lift like the 1" and 1.25"s mentioned is a great way to gain clearance for larger tires while affecting the c.o.g. less than an equivalent increase in suspension lift. Although flat fenders, highline kits, etc. are even more so ideal.

the proper way to run a belly up skid is in conjunction with at least a 1" BL. a BL is a viable way to do more than just get a taller Jeep. as i stated just now you need one to run a belly up, and if all you want is more tire clearance the the BL would be a good way to go. 1.25" of a BL isnt bad and is useful when done right. a suspension isnt the only way to lift your Jeep the "right" way.

also you need a BL to run an atlas t-case. if you ever plan on doing an engine swap youll need one too.

Here's one of my previous rides. 1" BL, 2.25" BB, 33x150 tires.

That setup worked well for me. I personally don't care for anything above a 1" BL, but mainly for asthetics. I've never seen anyone busting body bolts off, but I guess it could happen.
