What lift is required for HP30/Ford 8.8 swap?

So far the only owners who have swapped already have a 4" lift or more. I do not intend on going more than 2" suspension/1.25" body, and that is long in the future. (Currently OEM height, possibly a small spacer lift in the near future)

My primary concern is the front driveshaft clearance on the HP30 and fuel tank clearance on the 8.8.

For the front HP 30 you should be good with clearance for the drive shaft as stock XJs have no problem fitting the HP 30. As for the rear 8.8 someone else will have to chime in.....

HP 30 and 8.8 here with 2.5 suspension lift and 1.25 body lift. Only issue I've come across is related to the Truss on the 8.8 and not at all with the axle. I clear the Gas tank with plenty of space and the front drive shaft has had 0 issues in the 3ish months I've had it.

I know people with no lift and they don't have problems.

Well, I 'done haven't moved'd' the axle back yet, so it appears I will be proceeding toward the 2 axle swap. Now, that $$$ problem....
