What " lift for 35s and tube fenders

I just got some 31x10.5r15 tires and I really want to lift to 2.5" so I have some nice flex for the time being but I also don't want to waste money for when I go to 35s with tube fenders if I need to get a higher lift.

What would be a proper lift for 35s with tube fenders? Would 2.5" provide enough useful flex or would I be looking at 3.5-4.5" instead?

2.5 will be plenty with tube fenders. Just spend the $$ to get a quality lift. The OME 2.5 lift is supposedly very good quality and great ride.

If thats the case I will definitely spring for a 2.5" OME instead of an RC lift. Any other input? I don't want to get highline tube fenders, just the TNT Gen II tube fenders

Thanks for that info, I also emailed TnT customs and asked them a few questions. Looks like I'll be getting an OME 2.5" HD kit for the long run

Does anyone know if the rear corners require cutting, therefore providing more clearance to the wheel wells?

if your on short arms. The rear front edge will need a trim

See Metalcloak for options regarding tube fenders that provide high-line or near-highline clearance in a complete package without having to do an actual knife-job high-line. I have their arched tube fenders, which are great, but if I had to do it all over again I would've gone for their Overline fenders (not quite the same level clearance but still enough and I like the look better), but they didn't have them at the time. They're great people to work with, too.

By the way, with the arched fenders you apparently don't have to have any lift at all to fit 35's. One of the guys in the local Jeep club has that setup, and it's pretty slick. Like "never monday" said, though, you may end up needing to trim a small strip from the front edge of the rear openings to keep from rubbing, depending on your particular Jeep's behavior.
