What is a fair price for a np241 Rubicon Transfer Case?

I am thinking of changing out my transfercase for a 4:1 Rubicon unit. What is a fair price to pay for one?

From what I understand, you can use a Dodge pickup 241D (not 241DHD) with JB Conversions tailshaft conversion (SYE- Approx $350 but out of stock) for roughly twice the strength of the 231. If you're after the 4:1 gearing you'd probably be in it for another few hundred. With that in mind, if you want 4:1, the Jeep 241OR makes better sense. In my view $600-$900 would be a good (realistic) deal for a good low miles unit. Just an opinion.

I've seen them anywhere from $800 to $1200. You'll have to make a driveshaft change too due to the flange type CV joint.

The 241OR is a strong case!
