For mine, I try to put them at whatever gives even wear across the face of the tread which for my 35s is about 22psi. I’ve experimented with lower and much higher pressures and couldn’t find any difference in MPG.

I hate a gummy feeling that low pressure give so I go for the 35 psi range... Wear is not a factor as I just spin them on a rock or stump and chunk them to pieces far before I wear them down...
I have consistently run my Load Range C 35x12.50 tires at 24 psi when the TJ is unloaded and driving around town, with 26 psi when it's loaded and on the highway. That has worked well for me for 14-15 years or so.
32 psi is too high for 33's, not even the smaller factory size tires run that high of a pressure. 26-28 psi is more appropriate for a 33x12.50R15 when holding up a Wrangler.

That you add pressure to your TJ when you add weight. Mine is an LJ carrying almost double the fuel, plus the hardtop, plus the recovery gear, plus my tools, etc. So at what point does increasing pressure to handle the weight become too much? Do you have a magical formula of "X lbs = Y psig"?
As for what I run in my tires, I don't care what the factory pressure spec was. I also don't care if people on this forum think its suicidal. I tested the pressures on my rig set up how i drive and found the pressure that works for me.
I went with Nitto 315/70R17 tires because of the load range D, the 35x12.5r17's were a E rated tire. I run 22psi in my jeep for daily driving, personally rides great, even wear.
I once had a shop once air up my tires to about 36psi. I could run over a penny and tell you what year it was... tires rode like crap.
I've never had a Jeep with tires that small. That's max load pressure too.
